TSAVO EAST NATIONAL PARK

The largest park (13,747 sq. km) in Kenya and one of the oldest in the world. The park is in southwest Kenya between Nairobi and Mombasa. It’s about 5 hours driving from the capital and can easily be a 1-day safari for those who wish a quick getaway.

Dusty, dry and less touristic, in this park where you can find in privacy the authentic landscape of African savanna. Comparing with its neighbour park, West Tsavo, spotting wildlife is easier as there are not many bushes. Here you will find Galana river, the Lingard Falls, the Cocodrile Point and Muganda Rock. The climate is very warm and dry, consequently, driving for hours without seeing any animal is sure but you must persist. Best time to visit the park is June - October.
