DIANI BEACH & WASINI ISLAND
Watamu is a small town located 15 km south of Malindi on the Indian Ocean coast of Kenya. Enjoy its white-sand beaches and reef-protected lagoons line which and boasts a rich marine life from the visiting Whale Sharks and Manta Rays to three species of Sea Turtle.
Best time to visit Watamu is December - March and July - October.

How to get to Diani Beach
By plane from Nairobi to Ukunda Airport (from 7.500 KES). The journey takes 1.20 hours.
By plane from Nairobi to Moi international Airport (5.500 KES - 1 hours). Take a taxi through Bolt or Uber App to Diani (from 40.000 KES) or to Lakini Feery (from 700 KES).
By Madaraka train (1.000 KES - 6 hours). In train station take a matatu to Diani 1.000 KES or to Mombasa 1000
Take a matatu to Diani (1.000 KES) or to Lakini feery (100 KES).

From Lakini Ferry, cross the bay and take a matatu in the other side to Diani (100 KES). There take another matatu to Diani Beach (60 KES).

Take a matatu or taxi heading to Shimoni.
What to do
Kisite-Mpunguti Marine National Park and Reserve. Hire a boat in the Park offices in Shimoni. The trip insludes water, meal in Wasini Island, snorkel equipment and entry fees. If you are lucky you will see dolphins on the way.
